The company is an innovative AI startup focused on developing AI assistants specifically for outbound sales. With a bold vision in the emerging field of real-time AI collaboration, they face numerous intriguing technical challenges that are integral to their product roadmap.
We are now looking for a senior full-stack/backend/ML engineer to join the team.
Role Responsibilities
Concurrency & Distributed Systems: Their smart dialer makes parallel calls and runs real-time AI models on each call. This presents concurrency challenges in the syncing state between Twilio, its backend, and its frontend, such as deciding which calls to connect or continue in the background.
Real-time Audio AI: They use audio data and signals like transcription to detect whether a call is a voicemail or a human. Latency is crucial for quick detection, involving techniques like LLM embeddings and few-shot learning.
Latency (Infrastructure): Fast detection is vital; latency across their pipeline includes transcription models, WebSockets, Twilio API, and database transactions.
Smart Call Funnels & Playbooks: They analyze where reps struggle in conversations using GPT-3 to turn unstructured data into actionable strategies.
Conversation Embeddings & Markov Models: They model conversation patterns to predict outcomes using LLMs for clustering similar conversations.
Integrations: Their dialer integrates with sales platforms; each integration opens new markets but requires robustness and reliability.
Frontend Performance: Ensuring performance across devices is key with technologies like WebRTC and React rendering.
